Program

AI for Project Managers

Practical AI fluency for PMs, program managers, and PMO leaders: tools, workflows, and judgment, not hype.

3 days (cohort-based), plus a 2-week applied practicum Live virtual or in-person cohort; available as a private corporate cohort or open enrollment

Overview

AI for Project Managers is a practitioner-focused program built for PMs, program managers, and PMO leaders who need to apply AI to real delivery work, not just discuss it in the abstract. The program covers where AI genuinely accelerates project management (status synthesis, risk pattern detection, stakeholder communication drafting, schedule analysis) and, just as importantly, where it doesn't, so participants leave able to make defensible judgment calls about AI use in their own delivery environment, not just operate a tool.

Who Should Attend

  • Project, program, and portfolio managers who want practical AI fluency, not theoretical exposure.
  • PMO leaders evaluating where AI tooling fits into existing governance and reporting processes.
  • Delivery heads sponsoring AI adoption within their teams and needing enough depth to evaluate proposals critically.
  • Scrum Masters and Business Analysts working alongside PM functions who want to extend their toolset.

Learning Outcomes

  • Identify which recurring PM tasks are genuinely well-suited to AI assistance versus which require human judgment.
  • Apply structured prompting techniques to status reporting, risk log synthesis, and stakeholder communications.
  • Evaluate AI tool and vendor claims critically, using a repeatable framework rather than marketing claims.
  • Design a lightweight governance guardrail for AI use within a delivery team, appropriate to risk level.
  • Recognize common failure modes of AI-assisted delivery work (hallucinated status, false confidence, over-automation) and how to catch them.

Curriculum

Module 1: Where AI Actually Helps in Delivery

A grounded map of AI-suited vs. human-judgment-required PM tasks, with real failure-mode examples.

Module 2: Applied Prompting for PM Artifacts

Structured techniques for status synthesis, risk log analysis, and stakeholder-ready communication drafting.

Module 3: Governance Guardrails for AI-Assisted Delivery

Designing lightweight, risk-appropriate guardrails so AI use doesn't quietly erode reporting integrity.

Module 4: Applied Practicum

A two-week, coached application of the above to a real (or representative) project of the participant's own.
