Program

Project Manager Career Accelerator

A structured transition program for professionals moving into, or advancing within, project management.

6 weeks, cohort-based, 3 live sessions per week plus a final capstone project Live virtual cohort; open enrollment, with private corporate cohorts available for L&D teams

Overview

The Project Manager Career Accelerator is built for professionals making the deliberate move into project management, whether transitioning from a BA, QA, developer, or coordinator role, or advancing from junior to mid-level PM responsibility. Rather than teaching PMBOK terminology in the abstract, the program grounds every concept in the artifacts and situations a working PM actually produces and faces in their first eighteen months: a real project charter, a real RAID log, a real difficult stakeholder conversation, a real status report under pressure.

Who Should Attend

  • Business analysts, testers, developers, or coordinators planning a deliberate move into project management.
  • Early-career project managers who want structured grounding rather than learning entirely on the job.
  • Professionals returning to the workforce after a career break who need current, practical PM fluency.
  • Anyone preparing for a PMP or equivalent certification who wants applied practice alongside exam content.

Learning Outcomes

  • Build a real project charter, schedule, RAID log, and status report from scratch, not just recognize their templates.
  • Run a stakeholder conversation - status update, scope pushback, timeline risk - with a structured communication approach.
  • Read and interpret schedule and budget variance well enough to know when a project is genuinely at risk versus normally noisy.
  • Apply a defensible framework for prioritizing competing demands on limited time and delivery capacity.
  • Enter interviews and first PM assignments able to speak to real, practiced experience rather than textbook definitions.

Curriculum

Module 1: The PM's First 90 Days

Core artifacts every PM owns from day one: charter, schedule, RAID log, stakeholder map, built live, not just reviewed.

Module 2: Status, Reporting, and Difficult Conversations

Structured communication for status updates, scope pushback, and schedule risk conversations with sponsors and stakeholders.

Module 3: Reading Risk Before It Becomes a Problem

Interpreting schedule and budget variance, and distinguishing normal delivery noise from genuine early warning signs.

Module 4: Prioritization Under Constraint

A practical framework for sequencing competing demands when time, budget, and delivery capacity are all limited.

Capstone: Applied Project Simulation

A coached, end-to-end simulation applying every prior module to a single realistic project scenario, reviewed individually.
